Car Crashes into Tree on 5 Freeway in Valencia Sending Two People to Hospital

 
VALENCIA, CA (February 6, 2024) – Two people were hospitalized in a car accident on 5 Freeway in Valencia late Sunday evening on February 4.
 
The accident happened around 10:50 p.m. just north of McBean Parkway. According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a red Dodge Challenger was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed when it veered off the roadway. It then crashed into a tree down an embankment.
 
There were three patients in the car, two of them were trapped.
 
A Good Samaritan truck driver pulled over when he noticed the headlights of the sedan shining from the small gully bordering the freeway.
 
Paramedics arrived soon after and transported two people to a hospital in unknown conditions.
 
The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
