Two Killed after Three-Car Crash on Green Valley Road and Pennsylvania Drive
WATSONVILLE, CA (March 22, 2022) — Three people died after a three-vehicle crash on Green Valley Road on Saturday, March 19.
According to the police, the crash happened shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Green Valley Road and Pennsylvania Drive.
Police said the initial investigation shows a speeding Nissan. Then it ran a red light and collided into a Chevy truck turning left onto Pennsylvania Drive. The impact of the crash caused the truck to strike a Honda that stopped on Green Valley Road.
The driver of the Nissan succumbed to sustained injuries at the scene. He was a 20-year-old male from Watsonville.
Medics rushed one of the passengers in the Nissan, a 16-year-old male from Watsonville, to the hospital where he later died.
The second passenger, a 20-year-old male, was brought to the hospital. Officials believe he will recover.
Paramedics also transported the truck driver with moderate injuries to the hospital. The driver of the Honda was not hurt.
