Lance Ostrander Killed in Chico Car Accident on Highway 32 and Forest Avenue

 
CHICO, CA (March 22, 2022) — A man identified as 44-year-old Lance Ostrander died in a car crash on Sunday, March 20.
 
According to the Chico Police Department, the Chico Police Department received several reports at 6:57 p.m. about a crash at Highway 32 and Forest Avenue.
 
Officers responded to the scene and discovered that a vehicle had driven off of the road. Officers also found that the vehicle crashed into a tree at the intersection.
 
Ostrander, who drove the car, sustained fatal injuries. Paramedics brought a female passenger to a local hospital in critical condition. Police said the passenger didn’t have identification with her.
 
Reports said a dog was also in the vehicle. Officers brought the dog to a local veterinary hospital for treatment.
 
Major Accident Investigation Team officers responded and took over the investigation.
 
Officials closed the road for more than four hours while they investigated the crash.
