SHERMAN OAKS, CA (July 16, 2021) — Two cars crashed on the 405 Freeway near Roscoe Boulevard exit Tuesday afternoon in Sherman Oaks.
 
Based on reports released by the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at around 5:19 p.m. Officials called in two ambulances to render aid to the injured parties. However, the number of the people injured in the crash and the extent of injuries were not immediately available.
 
It was also not immediately clear whether anyone required ambulance transport fur further treatment and evaluation in a hospital.
 
Meanwhile, the crash forced the closure of northbound 405 Freeway. Heavy traffic was experienced all the way to 10 Freeway according to reports. Whether speed or impairment was a factor in the collision is still under investigation.
