Police Arrest 2 People after Hit-and-Run Crash near Pacific Coast Highway Involving Two Vehicles, One Falls Over Cliff

 
PACIFIC PALISADES, CA (March 23, 2022) – Two people were arrested in a hit-and-run crash near Pacific Coast Highway and Sunset Boulevard on Thursday evening.
 
The crash happened a little before 10:00 p.m. on March 17, just north of Pacific Palisades. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a vehicle had pulled onto the highway when it was struck by another vehicle traveling about 80 miles per hour. The impact sent one of them off the roadway and into the ocean.
 
When officers arrived, they located one vehicle crashed on the rocks near the bottom of the cliff and another on the side of the road.
 
Two people, a man and a woman, who were inside the car that went into the water fled the scene. Officers spotted them along the beach shortly after and placed them into custody.
 
Paramedics took two other people to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.
 
An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
