Two Airlifted after Semi-Truck Accident on 15 Freeway [Newberry Springs, CA]

Two Seriously Injured in Semi-Truck Crash on 15 Freeway near Harvard Road

 
NEWBERRY SPRINGS, CA (October 28, 2022) — Two people suffered injuries after a semi-truck accident on 15 Freeway on Wednesday, October 26.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on northbound 15 Freeway about 7 miles after the Harvard Road exit at around 12:28 p.m.
 
The CHP traffic log said a gray Jeep Gladiator semi crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer at high speeds. Then it overturned multiple times into the center divider. The force of the incident caused the 20-foot trailer to overturn on its side.
 
Rescue crews asked for two medical helicopters to airlift the two people inside the Jeep. They rushed one person by CHP H82 Helicopter to Loma Linda University Medical Center. Medics rushed the other person by Mercy Air 2 Helicopter to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. The conditions of the injured victims were not immediately available.
 
The semi driver was not hurt.
 
The California Highway Patrol Barstow Office handles the ongoing investigation of the crash.
