Multiple Vehicles Involved in Accidents on Highway 101 in Pismo Beach

 
PISMO BEACH, CA (August 4, 2022) – Police confirmed that two vehicular accidents occurred on southbound Highway 101 on July 29.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the first crash occurred near Five Cities Drive shortly after 4:50 PM and the second crash happened at Mattie Road around 6:22 PM.
 
Based on reports, at least five vehicles collided near the southbound side of Five Cities Drive off-ramp. Then, a second crash between two cars happened more than an hour after. Responders found one vehicle in the center divider just north of the Mattie Road overpass.
 
As a result, the second collision slowed traffic on southbound Highway 101.
 
It was not clear if there were injuries sustained in the collisions.
 
At this point, an investigation is ongoing. Also, other details are not yet clear at this time.
