DAVIS, CA (January 29, 2024) — Traffic resulted from an accident after a big rig crashed and jackknifed on the 80 Freeway near Mace Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the truck accident happened around 2:15 p.m. Thursday. For unknown reasons, a big rig lost control, crashed and jackknifed on Interstate 80. As a result of the collision, the truck blocked the eastbound middle lanes near Mace Boulevard.
 
As a result, the roads remained blocked as crews assisted with the damage.
