Timo Martinelli Dies in Modesto Head-On Crash on Crows Landing Road near Harding Road

 
MODESTO, CA (July 14, 2022)Timo Martinelli died in a head-on accident on Crows Landing Road near Harding Road on Wednesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the head-on collision happened around 4:26 p.m. For unknown reasons, 21-year-old Martinelli allowed his northbound 2003 Honda Accord to veer into the southbound lane.
 
Subsequently, his northbound vehicle collided with a southbound 2019 Honda Civic, driven by 34-year-old Valerie Torres.
 
Soon after, paramedics and CHP officers responded to the scene and found Martinelli, of Ceres, deceased on arrival. Authorities said he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics rushed Torres to Doctors Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
 
Officials also located two significantly damaged vehicles at the scene.
 
At this time, authorities have not identified the leading cause of the crash or if alcohol played a role. However, an investigation into these details should clarify what happened. If anyone has more information, please call the CHP.
