Two-Vehicle Accident on Di Giorgio Road in Lamont Kills Three People

 
LAMONT, CA (November 5, 2023) – Three women were killed in a two-vehicle accident at Di Giorgio Road and South Edison Road outside of Lamont on Friday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 6:00 a.m. on November 3. According to the California Highway Patrol, a red Jeep ran a stop sign at the intersection and broadsided a white Volkswagen. Both landed on the railroad tracks.
 
As a result of the crash, the three occupants of the Volkswagen all died at the scene. The victims were described as a woman in her 50s, a woman in her 30s and a woman in her 20s. The three were on their way to work at Tasteful Selections.
 
The male driver and the sole occupant of the Jeep only sustained minor injuries. He could face charges of manslaughter to murder, according to the CHP.

It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
