Phelan Head-On Crash on Highway 138 Kills 3 People

 
PHELAN, CA (October 4, 2022) – Three people were killed in a head-on accident on Highway 138 in Phelan late Sunday afternoon, October 2.
 
The accident happened around 5:43 p.m. at Lebec Road, just between Beekley Road and Sheep Creek Road, south of Serrano High School. According to the CHP, a blue Chevrolet Silverado was a traveling eastbound when it collided head-on with a white sedan that was heading westbound. The sedan was split in two after the impact.
 
Despite life-saving measures, three people died at the scene.
 
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department withheld the identities of the victims at this time.
 
At least two other people were taken to hospitals in unknown conditions.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
