Three Injured in Rollover Accident on 215 Freeway at Placentia Avenue [Perris, CA]

Pickup Truck Falls from Overpass onto 215 Freeway and Lands on SUV Injuring 3 People

 
PERRIS, CA (August 7, 2023) – Three people were injured in a rollover accident on 215 Freeway in Perris Wednesday afternoon on August 2.
 
The accident happened around 3:35 p.m. at the Placentia Avenue overcrossing at southbound 215 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, a black pickup truck lost control and plunged off an overpass. It then landed upside-down, hitting a red SUV.
 
Riverside County Fire Department crews responded and found the pickup driver trapped inside the vehicle.
 
Paramedics then took the two occupants of the SUV and the pickup truck driver to a regional trauma center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
Crews issued a SigAlert in the area, closing several freeway lanes while they worked on the wreckage.
 
The CHP is still investigating the cause of the crash and factors involved.
