Drunk Driver Causes Crash on La Brea Avenue in Baldwin Hills Killing 18-Year-Old Motorist and Injuring 3 Passengers

 
BALDWIN HILLS, CA (June 19, 2023) – An 18-year-old driver died and his three passengers were injured in a DUI crash on La Brea Avenue in Baldwin Hills late Friday evening on June 16.
 
The fatal crash happened around 11:42 p.m. near Coliseum Street. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a suspected drunk driver collided with the victim’s vehicle.
 
First responders found the teen driver trapped inside his car. They rushed him to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
The three passengers in the victim’s vehicle, all women, were also hospitalized with minor injuries.
 
The suspected drunk motorist was hospitalized in stable condition.
 
It is unknown if the suspect was arrested. An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
