Teen Injured in Street Race Crash on Blacow Road [Fremont, CA]

17-Year-Old Sustained Injuries after Street Race Collision on Blacow Road near Eggers Drive

 
FREMONT, CA (November 7, 2022) — A 17-year-old suffered injuries in a street race crash on Blacow Road on Wednesday, October 4.
 
According to Fremont police, just before 9:00 p.m., the teen raced another vehicle at high speed. They headed south on Blacow Road between Eggers Drive and Brophy Drive.
 
The boy then subsequently lost control of the car, which veered to the right. It jumped a raised curb and collided into a tree, police said.
 
Firefighters extricated the teen who is the only occupant in the vehicle. He suffered moderate injuries.
 
Police said the passenger side of the vehicle was so heavily damaged that anyone sitting there would not have survived the incident.
 
Several nearby surveillance cameras captured the incident and the events that led up to it.
