FRESNO, CA (July 21, 2023) — A teen was injured in a police car accident on Fulton Street and Belmont Avenue.
 
According to Fresno Police, the vehicle accident happened around 9:00 p.m. Wednesday. As an officer responded to a call of an overdose on Fulton Street, the police vehicle struck a citizen car as it headed westbound on Belmont Avenue.
 
The occupants in the second car were a son and a father. Upon arriving, paramedics took a 16-year-old to a hospital who complained of pain.
 
Authorities have no other information on the factors leading to the crash; however, an investigation should provide more information.
