1 Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Redondo Beach

 
REDONDO BEACH, CA (January 12, 2024) — A teen died in a motorcycle accident on Pacific Coast Highway at Carnelian Street.
 
According to the Redondo Beach Police Department, the fatal motorcycle crash happened around 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. Under unclear circumstances, a woman made a turn at the Carnelian Street and Pacific Coast Highway intersection. Subsequently, a southbound motorcyclist plowed into the vehicle.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded to the scene and brought the gravely injured juvenile to a hospital where he passed away from his injuries. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has withheld his name pending notification of family members.
 
Following the crash, the female driver stayed on site and cooperated with the investigations. Authorities did not suspect alcohol or drugs to have played a factor in the cause.
