SACRAMENTO, CA (January 13, 2022) – Sukhjit Singh was among two people who died in a high-speed accident on 80 Freeway in Sacramento, early Wednesday morning.
 
The accident happened around 1:10 a.m. on January 12 near Raley Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Prius took an eastbound off-ramp to Raley Boulevard at a high rate of speed when it veered off the roadway and crashed into a tree.
 
Singh and his passenger both ejected from the vehicle while the impact split the car in half.
 
Singh was a 35-year-old Sacramento resident. He was driving the car and died at the scene, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
 
His male passenger, whose identity was not yet released, was also killed.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
