TEMECULA, CA (October 10, 2023)Steven Craine died and Desire A. Craine was seriously injured in a rollover crash in Temecula Sunday afternoon on October 8.

The fatal crash happened around 2:00 p.m. on Highway 79 at Pauba Road. According to the Riverside County Fire Department, Desire, 59, was driving a 2018 Nissan Sentra between 60 to 80 mph when a possible physical altercation began between her and her husband, Steven.

The Nissan crossed into the opposing lane and traveled around a curve in the road as it approached Pauba.

Desire failed to traverse the curve safely, causing the Nissan to roll over several times.

Steven was thrown from the sedan onto the dirt shoulder of the highway. He died at the scene. He was 50 years old from Winchester.

Meanwhile, paramedics rushed Desire to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar with major life-threatening injuries.

Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
