Woman Falls from Car and Fatally Struck by Her Husband in Temecula

 
TEMECULA, CA (October 11, 2022) – Sharon A. Miller-Dzurinda died in a pedestrian accident in Temecula on Monday morning, October 10.
 
The fatal accident happened around 11:10 a.m. at the intersection of Howell Mountain and Serdonis streets. According to the California Highway Patrol, Miller-Dzurinda had gotten out of her husband’s idling vehicle, a 2017 Acura TL sedan.
 
She was standing at the right side of the couple’s car at the intersection, with the passenger door ajar, when her husband backed the car up. The open door knocked Miller-Dzurinda to the ground, and the vehicle ran over her.
 
As a result, Miller-Dzurinda died at the scene. She was 73 years old.
 
Officers said the car was initially stopped, pointing southwest, when the victim’s spouse, allowed it to travel in reverse.
