Motorcyclist Dies after Crash with Vehicle on Bellflower Boulevard at Anaheim Road

 
LONG BEACH, CA (June 25, 2023)Shane Lee Gibson was killed in motorcycle accident in Long Beach Thursday afternoon on June 22.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:32 p.m. on Bellflower Boulevard at Anaheim Road. According to the Long Beach Police Department, a 60-year-old Cypress woman was driving a 2015 Honda Civic north on Bellflower when she suddenly swerved into the southbound lanes of traffic. She then collided into Gibson who was riding a 2019 Honda CBR600 motorcycle.
 
Gibson suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 49-year-old Long Beach resident, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
 
Paramedics took the woman to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
 
Speed, distracted driving and driving under the influence were not factors in the crash.
