LOS ANGELES, CA (August 18, 2023) — Several people reported injuries in a police car accident on Venice Boulevard near Cochran Avenue.
 
According to authorities, the two-vehicle crash happened around 9:00 a.m. Wednesday. Under unclear circumstances, a Los Angeles Police Department vehicle and a civilian vehicle collided in the 5100 block of West Venice Boulevard.
 
As a result, the two officers inside the patrol vehicle and the civilian suffered unknown injuries. At least one person required hospital transportation.
 
Per reports, the patrol car sustained major front-end damage and the other vehicle, described as a BMW sedan, had its rear bumper hanging off. While the BMW stopped on the sidewalk near a toppled streetlight, the damaged police car ended up against a light pole on the center median.
