Several Hospitalized in 2-Car Crash on Latrobe Road in Amador County

 
AMADOR COUNTY, CA (June 27, 2023) — Several people were injured in a 2-car accident on Latrobe Road near Lorentz Road.
 
According to the Amador Fire Protection District, the two-vehicle crash happened Sunday afternoon. For an unknown reason, a driver heading westbound on Latrobe Road drifted into the eastbound lane. Subsequently, the driver’s 2004 Honda collided with an eastbound 2002 Toyota Tacoma.
 
As a result of the crash, the Honda driver and passenger suffered major injuries and were airlifted to different hospitals. Although the Toyota driver did not report any injuries, the passenger suffered minor wounds.
 
Traffic investigators have not confirmed if alcohol or drugs played a factor. However, we’ll update this report once we receive more information.
