Hit-and-Run Driver Leaves Sandra Martin with Severe Injuries after Crash on East 4th Street in Downtown LA

 
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, CA (March 7, 2022) – Sandra Martin was severely injured in a hit-and-run crash in downtown Los Angeles on Monday last week.
 
The crash happened around 3:00 a.m. on February 28 in the 100 block of East 4th Street. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the 61-year-old victim was walking her dog, a brown long-haired Chihuahua-terrier mix named Little Man, when a vehicle struck her.
 
After hitting Martin, the driver stopped, got out, pulled the woman from under the car and got back inside the four-door sedan.
 
Responding paramedics rushed Martin to a hospital with severe injuries that required surgery.
 
The dog ran away after the crash and had not been found Friday.
 
Security camera video shows the car traveling in reverse when it struck the victim, knocking her to the ground. The dog was seen running off with his leash still attached.
