Authorities Identity Sandra Jones and 3 Others Killed in Lancaster Wrong-Way Crash

 
LANCASTER, CA (June 6, 2021) – Sandra Jones, Roslind Harris, David Howard and Justin Howard were identified as four people who died in a wrong-way crash in Lancaster.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:11 a.m. on Friday, June 4, at the intersection of East Avenue G and North 30th Street East. According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a black Dodge Challenger was traveling in the wrong direction in the eastbound lane of Avenue G and collided head-on with a big rig.
 
The crash left the Challenger crumpled and the big rig’s cab overturned.
 
Jones, a 62-year-old Lancaster resident, was the driver of the Challenger. She died at the scene. Harris, a 59-year-old passenger in the car, died at the hospital. She was also a resident of Lancaster.
 
David, 6, and Justin, 8, both of Las Vegas, died in hospitals.
 
A 5-year-old child was in critical condition at Antelope Valley Hospital.
 
Meanwhile, the trucker, a 44-year-old man from Corona, suffered minor injuries but was not taken to a hospital.
