Samantha Sharp Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Norris Road [Oildale, CA]

Oildale Crash at Norris Road and Howard Avenue Kills 37-Year-Old Woman

 
OILDALE, CA (October 26, 2021) – Samantha Sharp died in a pedestrian crash Friday night in Oildale.
 
The fatal crash happened around 6:51 p.m. on October 22, at Norris Road and Howard Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident began as a non-injury crash between a 2012 Chrysler 200 and 1999 Toyota Sienna.
 
CHP said both parties got out to exchange information when a third vehicle, 2005 Acura RSX, drove through the crash scene striking the victim.
 
Sharp, a 37-year-old Bakersfield resident, died at the scene.
 
Crews closed Norris Road in the area while they cleared the wreckage. Alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
