18-Year-Old Pedestrian Rosa Martinez Dies after Struck by Speeding Vehicle in Perris

 
PERRIS, CA (November 14, 2022) – Rosa Martinez was killed in a pedestrian accident in Perris on Saturday night, November 12.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:04 p.m. in the 21100 block of Nandina Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a gray or silver Honda sedan was speeding at 90 mph when it struck Martinez who was walking in the area. It then flipped over.
 
18-year-old Martinez from Moreno Valley suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
 
Paramedics took the sedan’s driver to a hospital with serious injuries.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
