Motorcyclist Dies after Crash with Car on Highway 154 in Los Olivos

 
LOS OLIVOS, CA (April 23, 2023) – Robert Stoik was killed in a motorcycle accident in Los Olivos Sunday last week on April 16.
 
The fatal crash happened around 2:40 p.m. on Highway 154 at Foxen Canyon Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, Stoik was riding a 2021 Aprilia Tuono motorcycle eastbound on the highway.
 
A 2021 Ford Mustang, driven by 57-year-old by Scott Pigman of Vista, was turning left from southbound Foxen Canyon Road. Pigman did not see the motorcycle and pulled out in front of Stoik, causing the vehicles to collide.
 
The impact ejected Stoik from his motorcycle. He was taken to Santa Ynez Cottage Hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was a 53-year-old Freedom resident.
 
The Mustang also crashed into a nearby Lexus.
 
CHP officials said no one else was injured in the crash, and drugs or alcohol are not believed to be contributing factors. Further investigation investigation is underway.
