BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 29, 2022) – A cement mixer accident on Highway 99 caused road closures and traffic delays, Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on November 28, at about 9:30 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a cement mixer and two sedans collided on northbound Highway 99 near Hosking Road.
 
The collision caused the cement mixer to spill gravel on the roadway.
 
Responders temporarily closed northbound Highway 99 from eastbound Hosking Road on-ramp to Highway 119 on-ramp to make way for clearing operations.
 
No injuries were reported.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
