2 Hurt After Vehicle, Motorcycle Accident on Catalina Boulevard in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 14, 2023) — A rider and a driver were injured after a car and a motorcycle crashed on Catalina Boulevard and Talbot Street.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the two-vehicle crash happened around 2:13 p.m. Tuesday. For an unknown reason, a 52-year-old woman driving a 2005 Mercedes-Benz E320 northbound on Catalina Boulevard turned left into the path of a southbound 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. As a result, the motorcycle crashed into the Mercedes and the driver suffered a wrist injury.
The motorcyclist, however, suffered a pelvic fracture, closed fractures to both legs and an 8-inch laceration to his right thigh.
Arriving authorities determined that alcohol did not play a factor in the accident, but the department’s Traffic Division officers are still investigating where the fault lies. If any witnesses would like to help with the case, please call 858-495-7800 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
