Richard Coin Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Olive Highway [Oroville, CA]

53-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Olive Highway at Kampong Court

 
OROVILLE, CA (June 14, 2023) – Richard Coin was killed in a pedestrian accident in Oroville Wednesday evening on June 7.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:19 p.m. on Olive Highway at Kampong Court. According to the Oroville Police Department, Coin was walking in the area when an eastbound 2015 Dodge Charger struck him.
 
When officers arrived, they found Coin unconscious on the southbound shoulder.
 
Despite life-saving measures, Coin was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a 53-year-old Oroville resident.
 
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
