37-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Car in Modesto

 
MODESTO, CA (November 21, 2023) – Richard Brown lll was hit and killed by a vehicle in Modesto Saturday evening on November 18.
 
The fatal crash happened around 7:20 p.m. on McHenry Avenue, just between Sylvan and Woodrow avenues. According to the Modesto Police Department, a Modesto woman was driving a Ford Fiesta south on McHenry when she struck Brown who was walking in the area.
 
First responders found Brown down in the road with major injuries. They rushed him to a medical center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
Brown was a 37-year-old Modesto resident, according to the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office.
 
No signs of impairment were shown by the woman who stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
 
An investigation into this fatality is underway.
