Ricardo Iglecias Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Old Redwood Highway [Windsor, CA]

50-Year-Old Santa Rosa Man Dies after Struck by Car on Old Redwood Highway near Pleasant Avenue

 
WINDSOR, CA (April 26, 2023) – Ricardo Iglecias was killed in a pedestrian accident in Windsor Saturday evening on April 22.
 
The fatal accident happened around 10:20 p.m. on Old Redwood Highway, just south of Pleasant Avenue. According to the Windsor Police Department, Iglecias crossed in front of a southbound vehicle as he was jogging from the west side of Old Redwood Highway to the east. He was not in a crosswalk.
 
The vehicle then struck him, causing him significant injuries.
 
A witness stopped and performed CPR on Igecias until Windsor officers and medical personnel stepped in and continued providing care.
 
Sadly, Iglecias did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 50 years old from Santa Rosa, according to the coroner’s office.
 
Further investigation is underway.
