39-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in South LA

 
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (April 12, 2023) – Ricardo Isai Cordova-Mejia was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the South Los Angeles area early Sunday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 4:00 a.m. on April 9, at the intersection of Hoover Street and 74th Street. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a vehicle struck the victim and carried him nearly a block to 75th Street where the victim came to rest.
 
The vehicle then took off.
 
Isai Cordova-Mejia suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 39-year-old Los Angeles resident.
 
Police described the suspect vehicle as a possible silver sedan.
 
The city of Los Angeles offered a standing reward of up to $50,000 for information that helps solve this case.
