Pedestrian Suffers Critical Injuries after Hit by Sedan on Shepard Street in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 12, 2023) – One person was critical after a pedestrian crash on Shepard Street in Bakersfield Saturday morning on April 8.
 
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a sedan was traveling south when it struck the pedestrian in the 4500 block of Shepard Street around 10:25 a.m.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered significant injuries. First responders rushed the victim to a hospital in critical condition.
 
The driver was not injured and cooperated with police. Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.
