Homeless Man Dies after Struck by Two Vehicles in Whittier

 
WHITTIER, CA (November 20, 2023) – Raul Alfonso Carmona was hit and killed by two vehicles in Whittier Wednesday evening on November 15.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:25 p.m. at Marquardt Avenue and Imperial Highway. According to the California Highway Patrol, Carmona was walking in the area when he was struck by two vehicles.
 
Carmona suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was 32 years old and was homeless, according to the CHP and the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
 
It is unknown if the involved drivers stayed after the crash.
 
The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
