Randolph Earl Dies after His Motorcycle Collide with Jeep on Highway 101 near Tassajara Creek Road

 
SANTA MARGARITA, CA (July 13, 2021)Randolph Earl died in a motorcycle accident in Santa Margarita Monday evening.

The accident happened around 9:40 p.m. on Highway 101 near Tassajara Creek Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 67-year-old victim from Atascadero was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound on the highway approaching Tassajara Creek Road. At the same time, the driver of a Jeep Wrangler heading southbound made a left-hand turn onto Tassajara Creek Road, directly in front of the motorcycle.

Earl crashed into the passenger side of the Jeep. As a result, he suffered significant injuries and died at the hospital.

The driver of the Jeep, 45-year-old Sacramento resident, was unhurt.

The crash is under investigation. Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash, CHP said.
