Traffic Snarled after Two-Car Crash on Highway 20

 
LUCERNE, CA (April 18, 2022) — A puppy was hurt in a two-car accident on Highway 20 that also blocked the traffic on Friday, April 15.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened in Lake County on Highway 20 northwest of Lucerne.
 
Reports said the two vehicles described as a black Audi and a silver Volkswagon Beatle sustained serious damage.
 
One of the vehicles allegedly ended up about 150 feet off the roadway in an adjacent field.
 
Two air ambulances and a ground ambulance responded to the area.
 
CHP Traffic Incident Information page stated that one small puppy sustained injuries as a result of the crash.
 
The Caltrans Quickmap shows the incident significantly impacted Highway 20. The roadway reopened at around 2:11 p.m. Friday.
