Man Dies after Stolen Tractor Tips Over During Joyride in Valencia

 
VALENCIA, CA (December 25, 2022) – Preston Bolder was killed after a tractor they allegedly stole from a construction site tipped over during a joyride in Valencia on December 19.
 
Around 3:00 a.m. Monday, deputies responded to a person banging on a homeowner’s door on the 29300 block of Calle Primavera, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
 
Upon arrival, deputies determined that five male young adults entered a construction site and took a tractor on a joyride. During the joyride, the tractor tipped over at Avenida Rancho Tesoro and Tesoro Del Valle Drive.
 
Bolder, a 19-year-old Valencia resident, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
Deputies arrested 20-year-old Stephen Wilkes from Valencia for felony taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent. They booked him into the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
 
Wilkes was later released on bail.
 
SCV Sheriff’s Station Traffic investigators are continuing with the investigation.
