Elderly Woman Dies after Colliding Head-On with Another Vehicle on Dehesa Road in Granite Hills

 
GRANITE HILLS, CA (December 25, 2022) – A 72-year-old woman was killed in a head-on accident on Dehesa Road in the Granite Hills area on December 16.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:35 p.m. just east of Walsall Road. According to the CHP, the San Diego woman was driving 2016 Nissan Sentra eastbound on Dehesa when she collided head-on with a westbound 2018 Volkswagen Atlas.
 
As a result, the woman suffered major injuries. Paramedics transported her to a hospital, where she later died. Her name was yet not released.
 
The driver of the Volkswagen was a 16-year-old boy. He sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
