MERCED, CA (September 26, 2023) — Injuries were possible in a 5-car accident on Highway 99 at V Street.
 
According to the Merced Fire Department, the multi-car crash happened around 3:00 p.m. Sunday. Under unknown circumstances, five vehicles crashed near the intersection, and a fire broke out. Soon after, firefighters and police responded to the scene.
