SACRAMENTO, CA (April 11, 2022) — One person died in a pedestrian accident on the Calvine Road off-ramp at Highway 99 on Friday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 10:39 p.m. For unknown reasons, a pedestrian was walking on Highway 99 when a Ford Edge driver struck the victim.
 
Soon after, a driver in a Honda Civic also slammed into the victim.
 
Soon after, CHP officers and paramedics responded to the off-ramp and later learned that the crash happened on the Highway 99 northbound lanes. In addition, they found the victim resting on top of the Honda Civic and the Ford parked on the right shoulder.
