Long Beach Pedestrian Accident on Pacific Coast Highway near Cherry Avenue

 
LONG BEACH, CA (November 28, 2022) – A pedestrian was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver on Pacific Coast Highway on Thursday evening.
 
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the incident happened on November 24 at about 6:25 p.m. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle hit the pedestrian near Cherry Avenue and Gardenia Avenue.
 
Emergency crews transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of injuries to his upper and lower body. He is expected to recover soon.
 
As per reports, the driver of the vehicle failed to render aid and immediately left the scene.
 
Responders temporarily closed the area to make way for a police investigation.
 
Long Beach police continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
