Pedestrian Suffers Serious Injuries after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on McHenry Avenue in Modesto

 
MODESTO, CA (August 11, 2021) – A pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a hit-and-run crash on McHenry Avenue in Modesto Sunday evening.
 
The crash happened shortly after 9:00 p.m., just between Robin Hood Drive and Sylvan Avenue. According to the Modesto Police Department, the pedestrian with a bicycle was either walking or riding in the area when a vehicle struck them. The involved motorist then fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
Paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed the pedestrian to a hospital with serious injuries.
 
Officers indicated a possible involved vehicle may have been a white Chevy pickup truck that was last seen traveling south on McHenry Avenue. Authorities are asking for the driver to come forward.
