Family Seeks Justice for Norbanoo Dhanani Killed in Crash in Porter Ranch

 
PORTER RANCH, CA (August 11, 2021) – 71-year-old Norbanoo Dhanani died in a car accident in Porter Ranch on July 30.
 
The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Corbin Avenue and Mason Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, an elderly couple left their home on the way to a mosque to pray.
 
A 16-year-old was driving westbound on Corbin Avenue when he made a right onto northbound Mason avenue and drifted onto the southbound lane.
 
The teenager struck the couple’s vehicle, severely injuring Dhanani who was a passenger.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the victim to a local hospital, where she died about three hours later. Her husband survived in the accident.
 
The teenage driver remained on scene and did not appear to be under the influence, officials said. He was released to his parents.
 
This fatal crash is still under investigation.
