Santiago Aldana Dies in Pedestrian Hit-and-Run on P Street in Central Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 22, 2022) – A male pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident on P Street on Saturday, September 10.
 
The Kern County coroner’s office identified the victim as 52-year-old Santiago Espinoza Aldana of Bakersfield.
 
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the incident happened at about 8:44 p.m. A vehicle hit the victim in the 700 block of P Street, based on reports.
 
Emergency crews transported Aldana to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:29 a.m. Sunday at Kern Medical.
 
As per reports, the driver of the vehicle immediately fled the area.
 
Investigators described the suspect vehicle as a black sedan with damage on the front driver’s side. Officers also believe that speed was a factor in the fatal hit-and-run.
