Man Run Over, Killed by Driver at Eleventh Avenue in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 15, 2023) — A pedestrian was run over and killed by a car at Eleventh Avenue near Broadway Friday night.
 
According to San Diego police officers, the fatal accident happened around 8:36 p.m. at 1000 Eleventh Avenue. For unknown reasons, a 47-year-old man stumbled and fell down the driveway of an underground parking garage. Subsequently, a 38-year-old driver of a 1999 Toyota Camry turned right into the parking garage, unable to see the pedestrian, and ran over him.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded to the East Village neighborhood and ushered the victim to a hospital with major internal injuries. However, despite receiving life-saving efforts, the man passed away.
 
At this time, the authorities have no information on the man’s identity, only describing him as a homeless person.
