Woman Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Normandie Avenue in Manchester Square Area of Los Angeles

MANCHESTER SQUARE, CA (October 18, 2021) – A female pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Normandie Avenue in the Manchester Square area of Los Angeles Saturday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 11:25 a.m. on October 16, at the intersection with 83rd Street. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the pedestrian was walking in the area when a vehicle struck her.
 
After hitting the victim, the driver did not stop, leaving the victim with severe injuries.
 
Arriving paramedics attempted saving the pedestrian, but she died at the scene. She was believed to be about 40 years old.
 
Police are still investigating the incident and on the lookout for the hit-and-run suspect.
