Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on Highway 184 [Bakersfield, CA]

Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Fatal Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident on Highway 184

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 23, 2022) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Highway 184, early Tuesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on November 22, at about 3:20 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle hit a man in the southbound lane of the highway near Kernita Road.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
As per reports, the driver of the vehicle failed to render aid to the victim and immediately left the scene.
 
Responders closed Highway 184 for two hours to make way for an investigation.
