Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash on 880 Freeway near A Street

 
HAYWARD, CA (November 23, 2022) — A man sustained fatal injuries in a motorcycle accident on 880 Freeway on Monday, November 21.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, at about 6:35 p.m., officers responded to the crash on the lanes of 880 Freeway, north of the roadway’s A Street exit.
 
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a motorcyclist in the northbound 880’s slow lane just south of Winton Avenue. The rider sustained injuries from the crash and he died at the scene.
 
The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office coroner’s bureau has not yet released his identity, pending notification of loved ones.
 
According to the initial investigation, the incident involved four vehicles on an auxiliary roadway underneath the freeway. It started when the motorcyclist clipped another vehicle. After that, he crashed into the vehicle. Then he rear-ended a second vehicle which caused him to be ejected.
 
CHP said there are no other drivers injured in the incident.
