Pedestrian Dies after Struck by DUI Driver on Kirker Pass Road in Pittsburg

 
PITTSBURG, CA (April 16, 2023) – A pedestrian was killed in a DUI crash on Kirker Pass Road in Pittsburg early Thursday morning on April 13.
 
The fatal crash happened around 1:15 a.m. at the intersection with Nortonville Road. According to the Pittsburg Police Department, the male pedestrian was walking in the area when a vehicle struck him.
 
When officers arrived, they found the victim dead in the roadway.
 
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
 
Neither the victim nor the suspect was identified.
 
No additional information was available at this time. Further investigation is underway.
